The QR code deserved better than a PDF
When restaurants moved their menus onto QR codes, almost nothing got better. You scanned, you pinched and zoomed a PDF, and you put your phone away. The code on the table was a door to nowhere.
Purify started with a simple idea: if the menu is already on your phone, it should act like it. It should know that you always order the fish, that cilantro ruins your night, that you're a dessert-first kind of person. It should take your order without a wait, and fetch your server without a wave.
So that's what we're building. Diners scan the table code and get a menu arranged around their taste, ordering from their seat, and a one-tap line to their server. Restaurants get a live view of every table, a menu they can edit mid-service, and honest data about what's working. The whole thing runs in the browser today, and an iOS app is in development.
The company
Purify is built by Purify LLC, a company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. We're launching soon and onboarding our first restaurants now. No venture-scale promises here — just a small team that thinks dinner is worth designing for.
